2019 Levantine Hill Katherine's Paddock Chardonnay, Yarra Valley, VIC

Deep straw-gold. The nose is complex and layered with pear skin, marzipan and wild rice, overlaid by notes of cumquat marmalade, toasted brioche and elderflower, with a saline mineral thread. The palate is rich and full-bodied with white peach, toasted almond, white chocolate and parmesan rind; the texture is creamy with a fine chalky interplay. The finish is long and persistent, with sustained acidity and integrated oak spice.
