2024 E.J. McDougall Chardonnay, Margaret River, WA

Tasting Notes  -  ABV: 13.8%

Pale gold. The nose is complex and classical with grapefruit pith, nectarine and pear skin alongside marzipan and toasted chestnut; flint and a saline mineral thread develop with aeration. The palate is richly flavoured and creamy with grapefruit, white peach and nectarine, underpinned by fine, chalky al dente texture and superb mid-palate volume. The finish is long with firm pithy phenolics, bright saline acidity and sustained mineral freshness.
